• Legally recommended and often required to keep your warranty valid.

• Should be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

• Includes visual checks, testing controls, inspecting internal components, checking flue emissions, and cleaning key parts.

2. System Efficiency Check

• Engineers assess how efficiently your boiler and heating system is performing.

• Identifies signs of wear, pressure issues, or early faults that could lead to breakdowns or higher energy bills.

3. Safety Inspection

• Checks for gas leaks, carbon monoxide risks, and proper ventilation.

• Crucial for both home safety and legal compliance (especially for landlords).

4. Bleeding Radiators / Balancing the System

• Radiators are checked for cold spots or trapped air.

• The system may be balanced to ensure even heating throughout the property.

5. Water Pressure & Expansion Vessel Checks

• Ensures the boiler is operating at the correct pressure.

• The expansion vessel (especially in combi systems) is checked for proper air charge and function.

6. System Inhibitor Top-Up

• A chemical inhibitor may be added to the system to reduce corrosion, sludge build-up, and limescale—helping your boiler last longer.

Optional but Recommended: Power Flush

A power flush is a deep clean of your central heating system using a high-pressure machine and special chemicals. If you're not sure when the last time you had a power flush we recommend it.

In fact with all our new clients we highly recomend a power flush on our first service, nearly all our customers feel the immediate benefit.
